Law Abiding Citizen stars Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx in this low budget thriller.

Clyde Shelton (Butler) and Nick Rice (Foxx) butt heads when promising lawyer Rice gives the man convicted of killing Shelton’s family a plea deal. Rice is more concerned with keeping his high conviction rate than dealing with giving criminals justice. Nick Rice wants to further his career and hopefully attain the status of District Attorney. The guy responsible for killing Shelton’s entire family only has to serve a few years in prison.

Fast forward many years ahead and people start dying. The killing is traced back to Shelton, but that is where the real story begins. I don’t want to ruin the story, so i will post some additional details in the spoiler section of this post.

I give it a solid 2.5 stars. I know that 2.5 stars isn’t a very good rating, but this movie was pretty good as a rental. I don’t think that it would be worth the $9 movie ticket, but it works for video.
